This Program Coordinator position will support recruiting for undergraduate and graduate student success initiatives in the Bloch School. The role coordinates events, communications, and outreach efforts across programs and interfaces with internal associates, prospective students and families, community partners, and other stakeholders. The incumbent should have strong professionalism and exceptional written and verbal communication skills to showcase the benefits of the school’s academic programs.
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate co-curricular programming focused on professional development for programs such as Banking Leaders of Tomorrow, Real Estate Leaders of Tomorrow, graduate scholarship program, and other student success initiatives.
- Support outreach efforts to high schools, community colleges, corporate partners, and community organizations to showcase opportunities for students at the Bloch School and UMKC.
- Plan and coordinate events for prospective students and their families.
- Deliver presentations to prospective students.
- Work with potential students to assist them in planning their program of study at UMKC and the Bloch School.
- Manage communication with current students regarding expectations for professional development, scholarships, and opportunities for professional engagement.
- Support student success initiatives, including initiatives relating to scholarship support and retention.
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in addition to a minimum one year of related experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
- One year of experience in student service or recruiting roles.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
