Description

St. Pius X High School is seeking a part-time dedicated and student-centered Para educator to join our Special Education team. This position supports our commitment to fostering a Christ-centered, inclusive learning environment for all students. The Para educator will work closely with the SPED team to assist students in Guided Studies classes and provide 1:1 or small-group support in general education classrooms.

• Support students in Guided Studies classes by reinforcing instruction, helping with assignments, and promoting executive functioning skills.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students with learning needs, both in the Guided Studies setting and in general education classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement accommodations and modifications outlined in student learning plans.
• Encourage positive academic habits, organization, and self-advocacy skills.
• Help maintain a structured, supportive, and caring environment consistent with the Catholic mission of St. Pius X High School.
• Communicate regularly with the SPED team regarding student progress and needs.
• Assist with supervision duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Must have a love for learning
• Organization is key
• Genuinely care for students
• Be an effective classroom manager
• Trained in Protecting God's Children, or willing to be trained
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required
