Part Time Pre-K Learning Attendant; Floating Sub

Position Summary

Part Time Pre‑K Learning Attendant (Floating Sub) – Kansas City Public Schools.

• Promote and support children’s social, emotional and physical development consistent with the philosophy of the Office of Early Learning.
• Work with Pre‑K instructors to effectively plan, coordinate and carry out child care activities.
• Complete required planning during designated planning time during the work day.
• Monitor the arrival and departure of the students.
• Maintain a safe transition procedure when moving children from one area of the school to another.
• Keep daily records of student attendance and maintain daily attendance logs for all classroom volunteers.
• Report all staffing and classrooms concerns and any unsafe conditions to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or G.E.D. and previous experience with and/or training for working with children in a learning environment.
• Desire to work with children ages three and four.

• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
