Early Education Teacher

Are you passionate early education and interested in working in a mental health setting? The Children’s Place is seeking a dedicated Early Education Teacher to join our Day Treatment team.

Our team gathers frequently for community potlucks, celebratory happy hours, and other events throughout the year. Teach alongside a co-teacher in a classroom with up to eight children, who are on site from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Job responsibilities include:

• Build relationships with young children to develop rapport and trust.
• Build relationships with caregivers to create a positive educational experience for their child.
• Interact daily with young children to provide a safe and caring educational environment to help promote the individual capacity of each child.
• Provide quality educational services based on our curriculum Creative Curriculum.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and counselors, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, and consulting child psychiatrists, to provide effective treatment planning and implementation.
• Collaborate effectively with co-teacher to share classroom responsibilities.

• Certified in Early Education
• Bachelor degree or Associate Degree with 3 or more years of early educational experience
• Master Degree preferred in Early Education or special education encouraged to apply
• Minimum requirement for this position is 9 hours of Early Education credits on college transcripts
