Job SummaryAs a Middle School Math Teacher, you will develop and deliver lesson plans that meet state and district standards, use differentiated instruction and technology tools, continuously assess student understanding, maintain accurate student records, manage classroom behavior, collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and serve on school committees.
Responsibilities- Instructional Delivery – develop and deliver lesson plans, utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technology tools, continuously assess student understanding.
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring – assess and analyze student performance, maintain accurate records, use data to drive instructional decisions.
- Classroom Management and Student Engagement – establish a positive classroom culture, manage behavior, implement effective classroom management strategies, support social‑emotional development.
- Professional Development and School Collaboration – participate in professional development, collaborate on school initiatives, attend faculty meetings, serve on school committees.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate (Missouri State Certification in Mathematics, 5‑9).
- Strong understanding of curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
- Experience in diverse, urban school environments.
- Proven differentiation for diverse students.
- Technology integration for engagement.
- Curriculum development experience.
- Leadership roles (department lead, instructional coach).
- Health and Dental Insurance.
- Defined Benefit Pension plan – mandatory 9.0% contribution.
10‑month work year, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (187 work days). Full‑time, exempt FLSA status.
