** Essential Qualifications
*** Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent as recognized by ACECQA).
* A current and valid check that confirms the candidate's suitability to work with children.
* First Aid certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
** Essential Skills and Attributes
*** In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.
* Capability to guide, mentor and provide direction to other educators in the room or setting.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, families, colleagues and management.
* Experience in designing, implementing and assessing educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children.
* Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to promote a collaborative environment.
** Desirable Skills and Knowledge
*** Previous experience in a Lead Educator, Room Leader or similar role in an early childhood setting.
* Ability to create an environment where all children, including those with additional needs can thrive and learn.
* Ability to work in partnership with other educators, support staff and external professionals to enhance children's learning and wellbeing.
* Proficiency in using relevant software for children's documentation, communication with families and educational planning.
