Overview
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care.
Responsibilities- Deliver full-spectrum family medicine including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
- Provide obstetric services such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries (vaginal and C-section if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
- Care for newborns and pediatric patients as part of family-centered care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and community outreach activities.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in hospital call schedules, including after-hours and weekends.
- MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetrics training, current unrestricted medical license, board certification or eligibility, and hospital privileges.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO are preferred.
