University Health Physicians (UHP) is the physician group practice for the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) in conjunction with its major teaching facility. UMKC supports several residencies and many of our physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO.

- Join as a full-time attending psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services mainly at the soon-to-opened North Kansas City - BHAC (inpatient psychiatric unit).
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychologists, nurses, recreational therapists and medical social workers.
- There may be an opportunity to act as primary collaborating physician with one or more of our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMNHP/APRN) and to receive an additional stipend.
- If desired, there may be the opportunity to rotate as primary TMC CL attending for that teaching service, and/or to rotate at TMC BHAC leading a teaching service.
- The hire would participate in the NKC BHAC call system, approximately 1 weekend per month, with potential to take call on TMC BHAC and CL services for additional pay.
- Participation in hospital-based committees and providing lectures to other medical specialties is encouraged.
- Graduated from an accredited medical school, completing a residency in psychiatry.
