Overview
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.
The Warrensburg, MO VA Clinic is recruiting for a Primary Care Physician in Warrensburg, MO. Board certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is not required but preferred. You will provide primary care for a diverse group of veterans. The employee shall provide services including, but not limited to, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with typical primary care conditions (including routine care of women patients) and complete thorough workups prior to specialty consultation according to usual and acceptable standards.
The provider will follow VA clinical and preventive guidelines and document accordingly. The physician will report to the Primary Care Service Section Lead. The physician will work independently, caring for outpatients in an established clinic. Specialists and other primary care providers are available for consultation. The physician shall cooperate and collaborate fully with other staff. The physician is accountable for health care outcomes, ethical practice, peer review, and continued professional development to support the mission of the Veterans Health Administration.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Work ScheduleRegular Tour of Duty:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Due to the nature of the work, the physician may occasionally be required to stay later than 4:30 p.m., as required.
