Optigy is seeking experienced Hospitalist Physicians, including Nocturnists, for a long-term locum opportunity in Kansas City, MO. This role supports a large, high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with full specialty backup and a well-established hospital medicine program. Providers will work within a collaborative, team-based care model.
Requirements- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Comfortable working in a Level I Trauma Center environment
- Ability to manage high-acuity inpatient medical patients
- No procedures
- Willingness to work day or night shifts based on availability
- Clean file preferred for presentation
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients
- Manage admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage responsibilities
- Collaborate with intensivists, specialty consultants, and advanced practice providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for critically ill patients
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling (Day and Night options available)
- Day Coverage Model:
- 6 MD/DOs (7am–7pm): 1 admitting, 5 rounding
- 3 NP/PAs (7am–7pm): rounding
- Night Coverage Model:
- 1 NP/PA (5pm–5am): cross coverage
- 1 MD/DO (7pm–7am): admitting
- On-call: No
- Contract Type:
- Daily OT after 12 hours (based on differential)
