Overview
The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum services.
Responsibilities- Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
- Perform obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
- Care for newborns and offer pediatric services as part of family-centered care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach and call rotations, including after-hours and weekends.
- MD or DO degree
- Completed family medicine residency
- Additional obstetric training
- Active medical license
- Board certification or eligibility
- Relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO preferred
