Heart Land is seeking a detail-driven, creative, and collaborative professional to join our team as a Training and Development Specialist in Kansas City, MO.

The OpportunityAs Heart Land grows, so does our need to support and develop the talent behind the work. The Training and Development Specialist will play a key role in creating exceptional learning experiences that help our teams thrive. You’ll help run Heart Land University of Excellence — supporting logistics, content creation, and engagement strategies that bring our culture to life.
Responsibilities- Coordinate training logistics, calendars, communication, and session support
- Design and develop engaging, clear, and practical training materials — from workbooks to eLearning
- Partner with subject matter experts to build leadership and skills-based content
- Leverage tools like Zoom, LMS platforms, and AI-powered resources to streamline content delivery
- Track participation, measure training effectiveness, and report insights to improve outcomes
- Support onboarding, leadership events, and live learning forums across the company
- Brings 2+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or L&D program support
- Has a knack for organizing details and juggling multiple projects with confidence
- Communicates clearly, connects well with people, and thrives in a collaborative environment
- Is comfortable with learning technologies and open to innovation in tools and formats
- Brings creativity and clarity to training materials and learner experiences
