Track LaborerPosition Summary: The Track Laborer's primary responsibilities include general labor duties including but not limited to track construction and maintenance, equipment and tool maintenance, inventory, clean-up of work area grounds and company assets. Previous construction experience is helpful. Must have a working knowledge of hand tools and be able to work in adverse seasonal conditions. The Laborer will report direct to a foreman.
General Duties:
- Operates General hand tools.
- Operates powered railroad tools and specialized railroad tools.
- Participate in team safety meeting.
- Reporting equipment or tool damage or deficiencies immediately to Supervisor.
- Comply with railroad and site specific safety and operating rules.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Summary: The Equipment Operator’s primary responsibilities include operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment; could include typical backhoe, track-hoe, bucket loaders, as well as a variety of specialty rail maintenance equipment. Previous railroad construction and maintenance experience is helpful, but not required. Must have a working knowledge of construction equipment and a desire to learn new equipment and skills.
The Equipment Operator will report direct to a foreman.
General Duties:
- Operate specialized heavy equipment.
- Maintain heavy equipment by performing pre-shift inspections, cleaning, adding lubricants and fuel, and documenting all activity performed on said piece of equipment.
- Perform light duty mechanical repairs (hoses, fittings, wiring, fuses, etc.)
- Must be able to read, understand and evaluate written documents and drawings.
- Perform construction tasks.
- Work in remote locations.
- Should be capable of becoming a certified rigger.
- Participate in team safety meeting.
- Reporting equipment or tool damage or deficiencies immediately to Supervisor.
- Comply with railroad and site specific safety and operating rules.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Summary: Responsible for leading a specialized team in planning, organizing and managing one of our rail operations, insuring track maintenance, track inspections, upkeep on MOW equipment is done in a safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient manner. This is a position that requires frequent travel to various locations. Experience in the railroad industry is preferred, but general construction/civil construction experience will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Foreman will report direct to General Superintendent.
General Duties:
- Supervises and works in conjunction with General Superintendent to schedule activities of workers engaged in the installation and repair of railroad track.
- Participates in management of the project budget, and daily communication with customers for scheduling and other issues to ensure a smooth operation.
- Possesses experience and knowledge with:
- MOW Equipment.
- Track Maintenance.
- Track Inspections.
- Reading and executing plans.
- Civil construction.
- Provide quality service to customers on every shift every day.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customer contacts.
- Ability to understand the customer contract and rate structure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to produce and promote a safety culture that results in prevention of unsafe behaviors.
- Committed to teaching and promoting personal responsibility.
- Proactive leader that is able to solve problems, make decisions and direct people in a positive manner.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be willing to submit to and be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a background check, e-rail safe and on-track safety.
- Must be willing and capable to work any shift, including weekends.
- Must have ability to work at heights, as well as climbing stairs, lift up to 80 pounds, and work in hot or cold environments.
- Lifts approximately 0-75 lbs. occasionally.
- Lifts approximately 0-50 lbs. unassisted regularly.
- Must be able to work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time.
- Should have ability to use basic hand tools.
