• 3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement
• Experience negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers
• PO tracking experience

DAY-TO-DAY:

A leading provider in the textile and hospitality industry is looking to add a Procurement Manager to their team. This company works with all types of clients and provides a range of products including fabric window treatments, bedding, quilting, roller shades, and custom designs. This person will be responsible for the oversight and management of the organization s purchasing and procurement activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Communicating with the installation, production and project management for purchase order requests, submittals and general information
• Responsible for ordering everything that goes into their products for window drapery, roller shades and bed quilting (aluminum, stock fabrics, hooks, screws, shade rollers, etc.)
• Consistent follow up and relationship building with product vendors to ensure efficient delivery on production and installation
• Main methods of communication for external suppliers are over email and phone
• Little over 15 different vendors that they partner with to order product and materials
• Price tracking for frequently ordered materials to ensure informed purchasing decisions
• Use of ERP/tracking systems to enter POs, log pricing, check pricing history, check delivery status and cost savings
• Small amount of working dealing with freight distributors and ensuring requested prices fit within overall budget for the particular project

Compensation:

$55,000 to $65,000 per year annual salary.
