Reporting to senior finance and executive leadership, the Manager of Corporate Development will act as the quarterback for acquisition opportunities
, owning transactions from early conversations through close and handoff to integration.
You’ll blend analytical rigor with emotional intelligence
, working closely with business owners while driving valuation, diligence, and deal execution in a collaborative, partnership-oriented environment.
- Source and advance acquisition and partnership opportunities from early dialogue through valuation and underwriting
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business owners throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Develop investment theses, valuations, and deal structures for leadership review
- Support and participate in LOI negotiation alongside executive leadership
- Lead internal and external diligence efforts post-LOI
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for day-one ownership and smooth transition
- Maintain and analyze a pipeline of opportunities, tracking progress and insights
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership and investors
- Travel regularly throughout the Central U.S. to build relationships and evaluate opportunities
- 4–6 years of experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting
- Hands-on experience executing deals, including underwriting, valuation, LOI support, and diligence
- Comfort working directly with founders and entrepreneurs in relationship-driven transactions
- Strong financial modeling, presentation, and communication skills
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kansas City, MO
