A&M s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) focuses on serving the middle market and large-cap private equity firms to improve operating results at portfolio companies. The PEPI Operations group is growing, offering opportunities for career advancement and leadership development. We provide a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value across cost improvements, transformations, mergers, acquisitions, and carve-outs. Our operations professionals assist clients with manufacturing operations, supply chain and distribution, procurement, SG&A, and sales force effectiveness to identify value creation opportunities and drive improvements for portfolio companies.

How

You Will Contribute
  • Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements, working with PE leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and distribution operations, including organization design, capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
  • Evaluate maintainability and operability of production facilities.
  • Review current and historical data to understand efficiency and capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and production numbers.
  • Provide shop floor insights by engaging with employees and customers and reviewing data.
  • Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
  • Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and oversee deliverables quality and manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
Qualifications
  • 7-10+ years of professional industry experience with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
  • Deep functional expertise in one or more areas:
    Supply Chain Operations;
    Manufacturing Operations, S&OP; footprint optimization, plant consolidation, and product line transfer;
    Manufacturing strategy, Cap Ex planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT;
    Lean, Six Sigma, TOC and Value Engineering.
  • Demonstrated track record working with C-suite executives as well as private equity deal and operating partners.
  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience designing and leading the execution of change/communications strategy, both internally and externally.
  • MBA a plus.
