Role OverviewWe are seeking a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) with a true hunter mentality who thrives on building relationships and uncovering opportunities. This role is focused on new business development, connecting with decision-makers, networking, and opening doors for J29 Creative to grow. The ideal candidate is confident, personable, and thrives in conversations around marketing. They should be comfortable creating content, being on camera, and leveraging their personal brand as a business development tool.
A strong social media presence, especially on Linked In, is a big plus.
- Prospect, network, and identify new business opportunities for J29 Creative Group.
- Attend networking events, community gatherings, and industry meetups to expand connections.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and position J29 Creative as a trusted partner.
- Consistently close an average of one new client per month by actively hunting and building relationships.
- Effectively communicate J29’s services and value proposition to small and mid-market businesses.
- Manage pipeline, track activities, and maintain accountability through strong time management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff of opportunities.
- Create and share content (video, social posts, Linked In updates) that builds your personal brand and supports outreach.
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience (preferably in marketing, advertising, or agency services).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business preferred.
- Hunter mentality with proven ability to generate leads and close business.
- Confident in discussing marketing trends, digital strategies, and creative services.
- Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Content creator mindset – comfortable being on camera and building a personal brand.
- Strong social media following, particularly on Linked In, is a plus.
- Tech-savvy and proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Word/Office, and familiar with CRM tools (Hub Spot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Approachable and likable personality with the ability to connect with diverse business leaders.
- Base salary + Commission on gross profit for the first 12 months of each client closed.
- Uncapped earning potential with recurring commissions (commissions refresh as new clients are signed).
