Overview
Purchasing Assistant I Professional (Fed Grade Level: GS-7) – Full-time position located in Kansas City, MO. The role supports procurement-related administrative and professional activities across the Heartland Region, including various locations and potential placements in GSA field offices. The Heartland Region comprises Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas, with primary performance at Two Pershing Square, 2300 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
All team members must foster effective business relationships between the Federal Government client and Pro Sidian. Collaboration and open communication are essential. The role is non-inherently governmental in nature and involves working alongside federal employees and contract staff.
Responsibilities- Assist in clerical and technical work that supports the procurement of supplies, services, and/or construction.
- Collaborate with Contract Specialists, Contracting Officers, and Government Purchase Cardholders to prepare, control, and review contract documents and reports; verify or abstract information from bids/proposals; contact vendors to obtain order status and expedite delivery; maintain procurement files; enter and reconcile purchase requests or procurement obligations within agency procurement and financial systems; resolve discrepancies; and perform related procurement support tasks.
- Enter and reconcile data within contract writing, procurement, and PBS financial systems; ability to multitask in a repetitive environment.
- Practical knowledge of procurement procedures, regulations, and programs; proficient with MS Office and Google tools; detail-oriented.
- Experience:
At least one (1) year of equivalent government procurement experience preferred. - Comparable Federal Grade Level: GS-7.
