Chief of Staff KC is partnering with a client in the Kansas City metropolitan area to hire a Paralegal. This full time, in person position is ideal for a professional, detail oriented individual who excels in providing dependable legal and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
As a key support resource for attorneys and a primary point of contact for clients, this role is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a busy, client focused legal office.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and assist with daily operational tasks.
- Draft, review, and compile legal documents and related materials.
- Prepare, format, and distribute written correspondence, including letters and other communications.
- Maintain organized filing systems—both physical and digital—and implement improved procedures for file management and document scanning.
- Conduct case specific legal research and perform independent research on relevant cases, statutes, and court rules.
- Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Build and sustain positive, cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
- Produce high-quality work within established deadlines, with minimal or no supervision.
- Work comfortably in an office setting, including extended periods seated at a computer while drafting documents, managing emails, scheduling, and handling phone calls.
- Proficiently operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and telephones.
- Paralegal certificate or Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies required
- Skilled in fast, accurate data entry and document production
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong problem solving skills and proactive approach to supporting legal team needs
