Overview

Melaleuca has an immediate opening for an HR Administrative Asst. This position is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a Non-Smoking Campus. Hours are M-F 8am – 5pm.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and forward incoming calls to appropriate personnel in a professional manner.
  • Meet and greet employees, applicants and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Answer employee questions.
  • Assist Human Resources with New Employee Orientation items as needed, filing, product ordering for the facility, issuing security badges, distributing forms to employees as needed, keep kiosks stocked with current forms and information, employee postings to bulletin boards, calling potential candidates to set up interviews, helping new candidates to fill out applications, sign up for benefits, open enrollment, safety tracking, help with special events, etc.
  • Assist Plant Director and other department heads as needed.
  • Ordering office supplies.
  • Tracking of Behavioral Observation System for facility.
  • Enter Purchase Orders, pay invoices.
  • Sort and distribute daily incoming mail.
  • Assist in the training of back-up personnel to cover position during vacations and/or illnesses.
Qualifications
  • Previous Admin Asst. experience required – HR experience preferred.
  • Computer skills to include intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Maintain Confidentiality.
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be proactive.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift.
  • Pulling, stretching, bending, twisting, pushing and lifting for duration of shift.
  • Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance/attire.
