Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join a well established organization in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the preparation of accurate financial statements. Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Perform detailed bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

- Manage loan schedules and ensure proper documentation and updates.

- Oversee coding procedures for accounts payable and maintain accounts receivable schedules.

- Conduct general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account analysis.

- Collaborate with internal teams to meet strict deadlines and achieve financial goals.

- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and generate reports.

- Assist with month-end closing processes to ensure timely completion.

- Support property accounting tasks and resolve discrepancies as needed.

- Leverage Sage Intacct software to streamline accounting operations.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, is essential.

- Minimum of five years of experience in general ledger accounting is preferred.

- Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail are necessary.

- Must be able to consistently meet tight deadlines.

- Commitment to providing high-quality client support is a must.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

- A detail-oriented approach in both appearance and behavior is expected.
