Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage complex legal billing and support key accounting functions. The ideal candidate has experience with bank reconciliations, G/L posting and reconciliations, and account audits
, while also handling client billing efficiently and accurately.
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 BOE Key Responsibilities
Billing:
Manage full-cycle legal billing, including prebill generation, rate updates, client reports, and e-billing.
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.
Monitor A/R, coordinate collections, and act as liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
Prepare and submit invoices, incorporating corrective actions and process improvements.
Accounting:
Perform bank reconciliations, G/L postings, and account reconciliations.
Conduct audits and identify discrepancies for timely resolution.
Assist with month-end close activities and maintain internal accounting controls.
Support workflow improvements and financial accuracy initiatives.
Experience in billing and accounting, including reconciliations and audits.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Familiarity with billing systems, e-billing platforms, and accounting software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
