About the CompanyLaunch Development is a real estate development company focused on multi-family projects. We zone raw land, secure development financing, and oversee construction through project completion. Once properties are operational, we manage day-to-day operations and financial performance, including cash flow, receivables, and reporting. We also own and manage existing retail real estate and vacant parcels with ongoing financial obligations.
We utilize Entrata at the property level, and this role will play a key part in preparing monthly reporting and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities.
Position SummaryThe Controller will oversee accounting operations for Launch Development and its related entities, including multi-family projects, retail properties, and corporate operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payables/receivables, completing reconciliations, supporting investor reporting and distributions, and preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accounting records, reporting, and filing systems for Launch Development and related entities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for Launch, multi-family entities, and retail properties
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Monitor and confirm financial condition through review and audit processes
- Maintain an orderly and accurate accounting filing system
- Manage bank accounts for all entities and complete timely bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support and maintain strong investor relations, including reporting and distributions
- Maintain Launch Development’s retirement account
- Prepare financials for all entities to support annual tax return reporting
- Utilize Entrata to support monthly reporting and property-level financial review
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Quick Books and/or Sage
- Understanding of real estate financing and lending
- CPA license preferred but not required
- Experience supporting multi-entity accounting structures (development + operations)
- Property management accounting/reporting experience
