Fund Accounting Associate

The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

• Print and distribute APvoucher,grant, and scholarship checks, reconciling daily and preparing files for approval.
• Enter and process contributions, payments, and financial transfers in our accounting systems.
• Scan and deposit daily checks, manage mail workflow, andmaintainaccurateelectronic records.
• Create and update profiles in financial software, apply basic 1099 rules, and obtain W-9s for vendor payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve grant and payment questions.
• Support year-end operations with full availability during the fourth quarter to meet critical deadlines.

• Associate degree with at least two years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience (accounting backgrounda plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a high aptitude for learning new software.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret instructions and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
