Our client, a boutique law firm is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Accounting Specialist to join their team on an immediate, onsite contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong AR fundamentals, excellent Excel skills, and high attention to detail, who thrives in structured, deadline-driven environments.

• Apply and allocate incoming payments across multiple client accounts with a high degree of accuracy
• Perform account and bank reconciliations on a recurring basis
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
• Work heavily in Excel for daily tracking, reconciliation, and reporting (Pivot Tables preferred)
• Partner closely with internal teams to ensure clean, timely, and accurate financial records
• Learn and follow firm-specific accounting processes, with an emphasis on precision and due diligence
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders in a client-facing environment

• 2–3+ years of recent Accounts Receivable experience
• Hands-on experience with cash applications and account/bank reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills (daily use; Pivot Tables strongly preferred)
• Experience entering payments and splitting allocations across multiple accounts
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to pick up new processes quickly
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week

• Background in a law firm or professional services environment
• Exposure to Pro Law, trust accounting, or revenue accounting
• Experience with ACH, wires, and credit card reconciliations
• Prior involvement in payment disbursements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
