Accounting Manager

Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys owning corporate accounting responsibilities and working closely with executive leadership in a stable, growing organization.

We’re partnering with a family‑owned company that has expanded into a multi‑state operation with over 200 employees. The organization has a long track record of stability and is positioned for future growth through strategic financial initiatives.

This role is a replacement with expanded scope and reports directly to the CFO, working alongside a peer‑level Director of Accounting. The position focuses on corporate accounting, treasury management, and special projects. Industry background is intentionally flexible.

Hybrid (remote Fridays), Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

$90,000–$120,000 base + 10% bonus per year.

• Managing corporate accounting activities including month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Supporting cash management and treasury functions across multiple entities
• Overseeing accounts payable processes and internal controls without being stuck in day‑to‑day transactions
• Partnering on strategic initiatives such as refinancing, recapitalizations, and process improvements
• Supporting audit and tax coordination
• Improving systems, processes, and workflows in a growing, multi‑entity environment

• Corporate accounting support for 30+ legal entities
• Collaboration with teams supporting 25+ locations nationwide
• Direct visibility to executive leadership
• Opportunity to influence how accounting functions scale over time

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting, private accounting, or a combination
• Strong corporate accounting foundation
• Comfortable in a hands‑on, high‑visibility role
• Experience working in multi‑entity environments preferred
• ERP experience is a plus
