Senior Accountant at Paris Brothers Inc.

The Senior Accountant will be a key player in our finance team, taking ownership of complex accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role involves managing item cost within a production environment and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting principles and regulations.

• Provide analysis of operational costs, especially inventory and cost of sales.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs, prepare periodic variance reports vs estimations, and report findings to management.
• Determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, project future revenues and expenses, and recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Develop/Review manufacturing budgets used to develop labor and overhead rates.
• Other duties as assigned.

• No responsibility for directing or supervising others.

• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial records and reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3 years of accounting‑related experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central beneficial.
• Experience with Prophix beneficial.
• Equivalent combination of training, education and experience considered.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not required.

• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Cost accounting (direct, indirect, fixed, variable, inventoriable costs).
• Finance and cost accounting analysis.

• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interpersonal skills for effective relationships.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Ability to change priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Identify suitable cost drivers.
• Add value to the budget development process.

• Write detailed reports and deliver professional presentations.
• Manage time effectively and meet difficult deadlines.

• May work in a normal office environment and/or remote as approved; may attend meetings.
• Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
• Occasional abnormal hours expected during peak times or to meet production needs.

• Occasional travel within the metropolitan area may be required.

• Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards; minimal physical effort.
• May require lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
