Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing the receiving operations in our warehouse, ensuring smooth communication with truck drivers, verifying shipment details, and maintaining accurate records of imports and exports. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods entering and leaving our facility.

Responsibilities
  • Driver Check-In and Coordination: Greet truck drivers upon arrival, check them in, and provide clear instructions on loading and unloading locations.
  • Shipment Verification: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, ensuring all documentation matches the physical goods (e.g., packing lists, bills of lading, and invoices).
  • Data Entry: Accurately record shipment information into the warehouse management system and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Communication: Collaborate with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments to ensure efficient workflows and resolve issues promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols for receiving and loading dock areas, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Import/Export Oversight: Monitor and organize incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, tracking, and handling procedures are followed.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address any issues related to shipments, including damaged goods, missing items, or incorrect deliveries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, particularly in receiving operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards for warehouse operations.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Wage: $17
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Benefits: Vision, Dental, Health, and Life (Insurance)
