The Piper Assisted Living and Memory Support is seeking Household Coordinators to contribute to building a strong foundational team for our new community. The Piper is a Household Model community, with 3 Memory Support households and 3 Assisted Living households. Each household is made up of 20 apartments, as well as community living, dining and kitchen areas.
The Household Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and facilitating the operations of the house to ensure the regulatory and fiscal viability of the house, nurture person-centered culture and resident direction and promote individual and team learning. This includes creating a diversity of opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, personal routines and household rituals.
Additionally, the Household Coordinator will spend a portion of her/his time in the role of Homemaker, cooking and serving meals, engaging community members in Vibrant Life in the kitchen and performing housekeeping tasks.
- Three to five years on the job experience in senior living, family and aging services, mental health, children’s services, the arts, or teaching is desirable.
- Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, leadership skills, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Possesses strong assessment skills, including good insights into resident preferences and needs.
- Demonstrates strong communication and relationship building skills with residents, and is able to explain residents needs to others as needed for resident advocacy.
- Willing to take the Social Service Designee course, receive certification in food handling and become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
