* CBRE is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at a one of our clients with a
** Food Production facility in Kansas City, MO.
** We are looking for a Tech that will take pride in keeping buildings running like clockwork. If you're hands-on, reliable, and have a mechanical mindset, we want to hear from you!
** This is a
** non-smoking facility;
** Work uniforms and boots must stay within the facility. Workers must change any time they come and go from the building.
** M-F 7:00 - 3:30 Very occasional on call could arise.*
* CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, monitoring and repairs on building systems including mechanical and electrical components. (Light, plumbing, carpentry and electrical/ lighting. This role supports energy efficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building equipment and systems.
** What You'll Do:*
* + Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
+ Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
+ Review assigned work orders and update CMMS (SI7) with job status updates and completion notes
+ Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
+ Inspect existing Fire Life Safety equipment, building codes and safety laws.
+
Experience with Dock Doors, Levelers, and restraints is preferred.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
+ Exchange information in a clear, concise manner.
+ Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
+ Deliver own output by following procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
** What You'll Need:*
* + High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
+ It is preferred that candidates have commercial facilities/ building maintenance experience with some Dock experience.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Microsoft Office products:
Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and manage work orders through a CMMS.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, mechanical mindset.
