What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control systems and processes, including verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs per site policy.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help control unauthorized access, directing individuals to proper check-in locations and escalating concerns per protocol.
  • Conduct bag, package, and/or delivery screening as required by location procedures and report irregularities through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire or alarm activations.
  • Communicate with property management, building engineers, and/or public responders as needed during incidents, providing clear updates and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards, and report findings per site policy.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems when assigned, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns per escalation guidelines.
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and policy exceptions, including maintaining logs for access events and key control when applicable.
  • Provide directions, assist with way finding, and support tenant and visitor needs while maintaining a professional presence consistent with location expectations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
