Position Overview

Our Director of Sales actively sources and establishes new accounts with Co-Pack, Private Label and Wholesale Partners across the nation. They are a key member of our team and responsible for generating new sales (B to

B). The position is an individual contributor and a leader over sales located from Kansas City, KS corporate office.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build new business and grow assigned verticals by prospecting opportunities, attracting the interest of potential customers, networking to build a contact base, and following up with leads. Achieving a minimum of 12M in business sales annually.
  • Providing insights for developing customer value propositions; analyzing and providing timely feedback on market and business conditions; initiating and completing customer and competitive analysis; identifying new opportunities; recommending solutions; obtaining and maintaining knowledge of all aspects of the food industry including operational practices, supply channels, service expectations and financial requirements.
  • Achieve set sales targets by partnering with potential clients in a consultative relationship that maximizes value for the customer and profitability for Spicin Foods; leverage Spicin Foods value proposition to sell and close a profitable mix of products to targeted businesses. Develop projected sales reports per quarter and annually.
  • Develop a working knowledge our business operations and products; review new product developments and sales techniques on an ongoing basis. Develop a complete and comprehensive technical knowledge of all business products relevant to market.
  • Transfer and maintain strategic relationship by partnering with Account Management to retain client; record and maintain accurate records and reporting in Microsoft Dynamics; travel as needed.
  • Hiring, training, developing team members to harness potential; assigning tasks, deliver training, giving specific direction with process and procedures to follow & carry out tasks. Guide team members ensuring sales operations achieve quality and quantity requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Candidate Overview

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 3 year’s recent sales experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Successful track record of presenting, negotiating and selling.
  • Experience with customer marketing dynamics and requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
  • Physical demands:
    This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least 8 hours a day. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following abilities:
