Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel assignment in Kansas City, KS (66112). 13-week night shift (12-hour) position for RNs with stepdown/telemetry experience who want to deliver high-quality cardiac care while exploring Kansas City's vibrant community.

- Unit: Medical Surgical Acute 7 – 12-bed Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry (Progressive Care Unit / PCU)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN, Travel Nursing)
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- End Date: June 21, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1770
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in a stepdown, cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care unit (PCU)
- Completion of required onboarding screenings and exams (pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, core competencies, specialty exam)
- Current BLS certification required
- Up-to-date immunizations: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB, Varicella, Tdap
- Successful completion of drug screen and background check
- Professional references and current resume submission required
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients in a 12-bed unit
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, assess and document patient conditions, and interpret rhythm changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care, post-acute recovery, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
- Participate in unit meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives to support clinical excellence
