Student Extern Emergency Room

Overview

We are seeking an Student Extern for the Emergency Department  Extern will be an adjunct to the patient care team working under a Nurse every step of the way.

Shifts Available:
Variable

Hours: 12-hour shifts

Location: Providence Medical Center - Kansas City, KS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Adjunct to the total care team
• Successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing class
• Enrolled in an accredited RN Nursing Program (ADN OR BSN)
• Will function in the capacity of an assistant, once cleared by a Supervisor, they will be moved to the appropriate skill level.

Education and Work Experience

• Successfully completed the first semester of an RN nursing program
• Must be in good and academic standing
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
