Looking for an opportunity to be a lead nurse? Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals, a division of Saint Luke's South Hospital, in Kansas are seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN). As an ED RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions.
Shift DetailsFull Time Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Responsibilities- Demonstrate ability to manage care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state.
- Appropriately triage patients and prioritize needs, displaying a caring and responsive attitude.
- Initiate care to stabilize patients and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, demonstrating appropriate admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
- Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, providing appropriate care in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Prepare patient meals.
- Participate in QAPI activities, including accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state, and CMS standards.

- 3+ years of ED RN experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross), Registered Nurse (KS) credential.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current KS Registered Nurse license.
