Registered Nurse - Cardiac CareCooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care for a top healthcare client in Kansas City, MO
.
This position provides high-quality care to cardiac telemetry patients recovering from open-heart surgery, stent placements, ablations, pacemaker/AICD insertions, and other cardiovascular procedures. The Cardiac Care unit operates within a comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility, offering an excellent opportunity for RNs to advance their critical care and cardiac nursing expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for post-cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology patients, including those with stents, pacemakers, and ablations.
- Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes or emergencies.
- Coordinate and implement patient care plans in alignment with hospital and unit standards.
- Administer medications, assess patient responses, and document all care activities accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac recovery, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing practice standards, and patient safety procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Prior clinical experience preferred; open to new graduates with strong cardiac interest.
- Active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to provide high-acuity cardiac care in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and adaptability.
