Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor equipment such as reactors, pumps, coolers, and vacuum systems to maintain proper conditions (pressure, temperature, flow). Respond to changes in production processes to ensure consistent output.
  • Follow established procedures to produce products efficiently and safely. Calculate batch sizes and record manufacturing data.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, including tank trucks and tank cars. Transport materials to designated areas within the facility.
  • Ensure the proper operation of safety systems and valves and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all necessary production and transfer forms accurately.
  • Other Duties may be assigned.
  • Job duties may also result in:
  • Generate, handle, and/or inspect hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage.
  • Respond or manage hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan.
  • Prepare and manage hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.

Education and/or

Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or training.
  • And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Required Skills We Are Looking For:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or video presentation.
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Capabilities & Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or tools, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequent work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional work in high, precarious places.
  • Regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and explosives.
