Overview
Position:
Production Teammate - Tippin's Plant at Balls Foods. Full-Time. Available to work 5:00am – 3:00pm shifts.
- Fill, pack and seal product in accordance with process and quality standards to meet production schedules.
- Ensure product specifications are achieved (e.g., standard formula, weight, height, length, or color).
- Notify the Lead Teammate or Maintenance Technician if there is a problem (line issues, safety concerns, mechanical issues, etc.).
- Safely clean machine and work area during shift, at changeovers and at the end of the shift.
- Label, stack and wrap boxes of finished production on pallets for shipping.
- Wash and clean all utensils.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all production room and warehouse areas.
- Ensure operations comply with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete all required paperwork.
- Wash down, scrub and mop the production room.
- Set up work stating for the following production shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Internal & External relationships with other positions and/or third parties involved in the performance of the position (e.g., suppliers, customers, auditors).
Profile of the Job / Qualifications- Academic Level: High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in performance of the Line Worker.
- Languages:
Spanish-speaking would be a plus.
- Must be able to read and follow a sequence of written tasks.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all other food safety requirements.
- Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Clear and persuasive oral communication in various situations; responds well to questions.
- Must be able to stand and/or move for periods of up to two hours.
- Understands weights and measurements.
- Able to manage more than one task at the same time.
- Exhibits hand coordination for rapid production.
- Capable of using knives and production equipment responsibly.
- Teamwork: contributes to building a positive team spirit; supports others; maintains a positive attitude.
- Ethics: treats people with respect, works with honesty and integrity.
- Flexibility and adaptability to deal with scheduling changes and long hours when necessary.
- Decision making: able to handle problems and think through solutions.
- Able to perform other duties as requested or required.
- Proficiency in performance of the Production Worker role.
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Works in a food manufacturing environment with exposure to flour dust, moderate noise, and temperature extremes (ovens, freezers, coolers). Frequent plant activity; exposure to flour, soy, dairy, peanuts, shellfish.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to work on your feet for several hours; lift objects up to 50 pounds; ascend/descend stairs; handle chemicals as required.
