Overview

POSITION SUMMARY U.S. Auto Force, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.

The schedule for this position is Monday to Thursday 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM or until work is completed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment.
  • Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control.
  • Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds; when lifting commercial tires, perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment.
  • Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires.
  • Work safely at heights of up to 25 feet, often around tall stock racks, while operating equipment.
  • Be on the move and able to stand for extended periods; work overtime as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and operating procedures.
  • May assist other departments, such as ecomm, inventory, and will call, depending on business needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands
:
The employee must be able to qualify as to visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee must frequently lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds. Handling of commercial tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) may require team lifts or the use of mechanical equipment.

Protective Equipment Required
: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. Auto Force except for boots. All team members must adhere to safety and manufacturer guidelines for compliant use of protective equipment.

Work Environment
:
The employee may be exposed to weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate. Fumes from tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants may be present.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment
  • 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 25 feet while operating equipment
  • Abide by all company safety policies and state and federal regulations and manufacturing guidelines
  • Ability to pass forklift certification
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
