Maintenance Technician

Knit‑Rite/Thuasne has an immediate opening in Kansas City, KS for a Full Time Maintenance Technician.

This position is a training position to learn how to perform maintenance on knitting equipment, train to resolve machine knitting issues and correctly troubleshoot and repair all knitting equipment. In addition, you will run some knitting equipment as a backup operator when necessary.

• Learn how to identify maintenance issues on knitting equipment and resolve them appropriately.
• Help perform maintenance on knitting equipment.
• Perform a variety of small jobs as assigned.
• Learn how to operate knitting equipment as a backup operator as needed.
• Train to follow preventive maintenance schedules and help maintain the schedule.
• Follow lock‑out tag‑out procedures.
• Work as a team member to accomplish goals and projects.
• All other duties as assigned, including helping in other departments as needed.

• Education:
  
  high school or equivalent.
• Ability to acquire a forklift certificate to operate.
