Workplace:
Hybrid (at least three days in office and up to two days virtual for employees who live within fifty miles of a Farmers corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty miles may still be considered.)

Job Summary

The Direct Sales Team at Farmers Insurance is a high‑performing Sales organization, helping customers protect their most valuable personal property in a contact center environment. We provide a consultative approach to insurance sales by taking the time to understand each customer’s insurance needs and present options best suited for them. The Direct Sales channel is a key growth engine for Farmers Insurance;

this team is gearing up for expansion, and pursuing operational excellence, innovation, and efficiency to empower the team as we grow.

We’re looking for results‑driven, enthusiastic Sales Leaders to join our Direct Sales team. In this role, you will lead an assigned team of Sales Representatives to effectively sell personal lines products to direct inbound prospective customers. You’ll focus on continuous improvement of customer experience, team performance and company results by leveraging operational resources to analyze and evaluate data and taking action.

You’ll consistently provide feedback and coaching to employees regarding their performance and regulatory compliance, while building strong morale and engagement among your team. Success in this role will lead to continued growth in your sales leadership career!

  • High standards of operational expertise – you understand contact center fundamentals and metrics, learn new systems easily, and can stay organized and focused in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and a sense of entrepreneurship – you’re proficient in Excel and can interpret reporting dashboards and calculations related to the sales funnel & metrics, and can clearly communicate goals and metrics to your team.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Sales Consultants by developing staff performance and skills via strong leadership, coaching, motivation, and recognition.
  • Monitor multiple systems to qualify risk and ensure risk is placed with proper carrier.
  • Monitor all aspects of team performance, including but not limited to sales performance, customer experience, work product quality, efficiency, attendance and compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines.
