As an EHS Development Supervisor
, you will work closely with the Senior EHS Manager to implement prevention‑focused environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. You will also collaborate with the Food Safety team to support compliance, audits, corrective actions, and training initiatives. This role combines corporate support responsibilities with routine travel to company locations, providing exposure to operational environments and building leadership capabilities.
- Assist the Senior EHS Manager in executing corporate EHS strategies and objectives.
- Act as the Safety Lead for the corporate Support Center, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Support site management teams in implementing EHS plans and programs.
- Conduct routine audits to identify compliance gaps and assist in corrective action planning.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective controls.
- Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.
- Help maintain regulatory compliance by supporting permit processes, reporting requirements, and recordkeeping.
- Promote engagement through safety committees and other initiatives to drive a zero‑incident culture.
- Support emergency preparedness planning and execution.
- Partner with the Food Safety team to review and maintain compliance with food safety procedures and government regulations.
- Assist in internal food safety audits, corrective action tracking, and compliance verification.
- Support sanitation programs and hazard analysis processes at distribution centers.
- Compile and report findings from inspections and audits, ensuring timely resolution of deficiencies.
- Participate in structured leadership development activities, including training, mentorship, and rotational assignments.
- Gain exposure to multiple operational environments to build readiness for future EHS Manager responsibilities.
- Complete required certifications within designated timelines:
- OSHA 30, SEAFOOD HACCP, PSM, Incident Commander, and HAZWOPER within 6 months of hire.
- High School diploma or equivalent (required); additional education in safety or environmental sciences preferred.
- Hands‑on experience in EHS or food safety within warehousing, manufacturing, or transportation environments.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel routinely and relocate for future leadership opportunities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn EHS‑related systems.
