Salary Range: $17.00 To $25.50 Hourly
We are currently offering a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus for Full-Time BHTs!
The BHT supports patients with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse by assisting with daily living activities and implementing therapeutic interventions under clinician supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Assist with hygiene, meal prep, and medication management; monitor and document patient behavior and well-being.
- Behavioral Support: Implement individual treatment plans and help patients develop coping skills.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises, ensuring patient safety and de‑escalating situations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals on treatment planning; attend team meetings.
- Education and Support: Educate patients and families about mental health; facilitate group therapy and workshops.
- Compliance: Follow regulations and policies, including HIPAA and safety protocols.
- Education: High school diploma required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, crisis intervention, empathy, and documentation skills.
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification required; additional certifications like CBHT are a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift.
Maywork in clinical, residential, or community settings with potential exposure to challenging behaviors; flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
Pay and ShiftsPay starts at $17.00 and has the earning potential up to $25.50, based on education, experience, and shift differentials. We have full-time and part-time available.
Shifts are as follows:
Shift Differentials are:
Weekday evenings: $3.00
Weekday overnight: $2.00
Weekend (Friday at 7pm-Monday 7am) $2.00
Please note that these differentials compound upon one another, so if someone would be working overnights on the weekend, they would be making $4.00 on top of their base pay. If they would work a weekend evening shift, they could earn up to $5.00 an hour over the base pay.
