- Hands‑on role, owning day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations
- Partnering closely with the CFO on forecasting, budgeting, cash flow
- Leading a small accounting team and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting
- Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual close in a fast‑paced environment
- Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Managing monthly reporting and data submissions to parent company
- Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls
- Oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition in a project‑based services model
- Delivering clean financial statements and ad‑hoc analysis
- Overseeing project‑based billing and revenue recognition
- Ensuring revenue is supported by SOWs, POs, and time tracking
- Maintaining strong AR discipline and cash conversion, owning short‑term cash flow visibility
- Providing financial insights and analysis to leadership
- Serving as primary liaison with corporate finance for AP and payroll
- Reviewing expense recognition and period accuracy
- Coordinating timely payments and resolving AP‑related issues
- Owning and optimizing accounting systems
- Driving continuous improvement in systems, workflows, and data integrity
- Leverage technology to increase efficiency and transparency
- Partnering cross‑functionally with operations, revenue, and executive leadership
- 6+ years of professional accounting experience
- Experience in agency, creative services, consulting, or professional services
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606
- Experience working within or supporting a public company environment
- Technically savvy and systems‑oriented
- Maconomy experience is preferred
- ERP and project accounting systems, strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
