PositionSummary
At PROENERGY, we emphasize a ONE-TEAM approach where our Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Start‑Up, Document Controls, and Operations teams work seamlessly for our clients as a solutions provider for the power industry. We are seeking an Electrical Designer reporting to the Senior Electrical Design Manager as we continue to build our in‑house EPC engineering and design team. This designer will focus on routing cable raceway and circuits along with modeling equipment but also contributing to our department in creating guidelines and procedures.
Electrical codes and databases will all need constant review as our standards and codes change. You will need to work collaboratively with our integrated EPC team along with our clients to execute and provide world‑class, quality‑focused deliverables for our construction team. Your ability to adapt and be flexible will be invaluable as you coordinate multiple jobs, develop guidelines and procedures.

Position Responsibilities- Design electrical raceway systems including duct bank, tray, and above ground conduit or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems.
- Route cable through raceway design ensuring applicable codes and fill is adhered to working in collaboration with engineering.
- Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations.
- Understand and develop the capability of quality checking in the 3D models for interferences and constructability optimizations.
- Resolve comments on checked drawings; understand and implement the comments made.
- Complete as‑builts by utilizing RFIs, ECNs and red‑marked drawings from construction to develop “Conformed to Construction Records” as required.
- Seek ways to improve customer satisfaction, the quality of the work product, and operating efficiencies.
- Help develop, review, and implement guidelines and procedures to ensure design standardization and templating of our Power
FLX work. - Stay up to date with the latest technology and industry practices and find practical applications.
- Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Check design for consistency, safety, operability, quality, and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking.
- Basic understanding of electrical raceway layouts and field drawings.
- Associate degree in drafting technology, design or related fields; or High School Diploma with relevant coursework/experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in related work field.
- Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
