Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a 3rd Grade Dual Language Spanish & English Teacher based in Kansas City, KS. The role involves creating and delivering engaging, bilingual lesson plans, fostering a culturally inclusive classroom, and promoting language development in both English and Spanish. The teacher will assess student progress, communicate with parents or guardians, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure academic and social growth for students.

Additional responsibilities include employing differentiated instructional strategies and aligning classroom activities with district curriculum and standards.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
  • Experience in developing and delivering bilingual lesson plans
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to create an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment
  • Knowledge of child development and instructional best practices for bilingual education
  • Experience in evaluating student progress and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required
  • State teaching certification or licensure with bilingual endorsement preferred
  • Experience in elementary education and familiarity with dual-language programs is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering equity and inclusion in education
