The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Geriatric Medicine, seeks a faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering high-quality care for older adults, as well as teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's qua ternary referral center. The role combines clinical care with education and scholarly activity, including shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals through hands-on teaching in clinical settings.

The faculty member will balance inpatient consultations with coverage in skilled nursing facilities and will regularly participate in educational and administrative conferences as guided by supervision. Collaboration with faculty and interdisciplinary teams is essential, particularly in implementing the Age Friendly Health System Initiative and contributing to the Landon Center on Aging, which integrates community engagement, education, research, and clinical care.

Responsibilities
  • Balance inpatient consultations and coverage in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Provide consultative services to colleagues within the faculty.
  • Engage in teaching and supervision of Geriatrics Fellows, Internal Medicine residents, Family Medicine residents, and medical students in clinical settings.
  • Participate in educational and administrative conferences to support professional development and departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement initiatives such as the Age Friendly Health System.
  • Contribute to the Landon Center on Aging activities integrating community engagement, education, research, and clinical care.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Geriatric Fellowship or Board Certified/Eligible in Geriatrics
