Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager for our construction division. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects from conception to completion. This will involve executing and enforcing safety standards, maintaining project scope and budget, and ensuring quality control throughout each stage of the project. The role requires a minimum of 10 years' project management experience in the commercial construction industry, with a focus on large civil projects in the railroad and heavy and highway industry segments.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Execute and enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures ensuring project site is kept in a clean and orderly state. Conduct weekly safety inspections and monthly safety audits.
  • Maintain and control project scope and budget, ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct weekly project OAC, subcontractor, and internal staff meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination between all parties involved.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards are met in all aspects of the project.
  • Maintain the communication, progress, and productive mutual interaction of various stakeholders in such a way that overall risk is reduced.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks including maintaining construction documents and processing paperwork; including pay applications, project closeout etc.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years’ project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Relevant experience supporting large civil projects from conception to completion in the railroad and heavy and highway industry segments.
  • Proven ability to execute and enforce safety standards, with a track record of maintaining clean and orderly project sites.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid budget management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain productive relationships with various stakeholders and reduce overall project risk.
  • Experience performing administrative tasks in a construction setting, including maintaining construction documents and processing paperwork.
