Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices.
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare reports on customer service and sales.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Design, development and implementation of SOPs for procurement.
- Proactive planning of demand and supply.
- Ensure adherence to corporate contracts and provide input to suppler improvement programs.
- Work with Quality Control to refine quality and HACCP programs with all key processors.
- Maintain historical sales volumes and provide input to sales forecasting and with suppliers to secure supply.
- Maintain complete production inventory with certificate of analysis on all commodities.
- Manage all projects from grower certification to importation and packaging of finished product.
- Follow company GMPs (Good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs.
- Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
- Strictly adhere to all safety policies.
- Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
- Commitment to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.

EducationBachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field is preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience or combination of significant relevant experience in a similar role required.
Experience- Four (4) years related experience in purchasing, production planning, and/or inventory analysis is required.; CPIM APICS certification is a plus.
- Experience Managing Supplier Co-packers Is Preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems is required;
Oracle experience is a plus. - Experience in an FDA controlled environment is a plus.
- Experience in food or other perishable commodities is desired.
- Candidate must have strong analytical skills and MS Excel skills. High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills are necessary. A solid working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint software is needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally with various internal departments, stakeholders and supplier partners are key requirements.
- High customer focus, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to set priorities is crucial. Must be comfortable dealing with conflicting priorities.
Very minimal travel may be necessary to various Nature's Touch locations and for meetings or other job-related functions.
Work Environment/Physical DemandsApproximately 85% of work is performed in an office environment. 15% of work may involve being in the agricultural or manufacturing/plant floor environment.
