Position Overview

Our Staff Accountant will need to be a dynamic individual with a passion for numbers. Who handles core accounting tasks like managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements), reconciling accounts, handling accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring tax compliance.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with leaders to compile, analyze, and report financial data.
• Making journal entries for month-end expense accruals and performing balance sheet reconciliations for select accounts.
• Performing monthly credit card reconciliation.
• Act as a point of contact between departments, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and lenders.
• Using ERP software and entering inventory, expense and capital invoices, ensuring that all costs accurate. Ensure bills are paid and debts are collected. Maintain electronic filing system by scanning all cash deposits and outgoing AP payments.
• Tracks, analyzes, and reports on production costs to help leaders make informed decisions about pricing, budgeting, and efficiency. Provides detailed insights into expenses for specific products, services, or activities, identifying areas to control spending, improve profitability, and optimize operations.
• Staying current on company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Candidate Overview

The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years recent experience in accounting/finance, or relevant field is required
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and conducting financial entries within an ERP system. Experience in Netsuite ERP is ideal.
• Physical demands:
  This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least 8 hours a day. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing.
